With a single string of direct-bury rated, CANBUS power/communications cables, SepticSitter sensors are linked end to end in a daisy-chain arrangement. Currently, 4 inches (0.10m) to 6.5 feet (2.0m) is the measuring range for liquid level. Field firmware upgrades are made possible with a specialized CAN BUS bootloader.
Sensors that use non-contact, time-of-flight (ToF) measurements to assess liquid levels in tanks and drain fields are installed on a nominal 2″ (50mm) PVC pipe. An infrared temperature sensor provides for the monitoring of system temperatures. It also allows correction of fluctuations in sound speed through air. It is possible to set up readings to happen at various intervals, usually every 5 to 30 minutes, around the clock.
• Sensors install and refit simply in tanks, leachfields, and cesspools; non-contact ultrasonic sensors won’t become “hung up” or clogged.
• View a continuous profile of liquid levels from any connected device • Customizable with warnings, alerts, and notifications • Sensor Hub connects to current internet connection at home or business • Cellular internet option available
• Direct-bury power and communication lines at low voltage
